Deployment best practice

Over the years the Captini team have worked with partners to deploy thousands of services across many different types of venues and installations across the world.

In an effort to help our partners increase installation success and shorten deployment times we have simplified the process and number of steps to deploy the Captini service.

The following deployment process is the best practice steps in a very specific order which when followed increases the success rate and minimises installation hiccups. Captini strongly recommend that all partners follow this deployment process.

Recommended deployment process

The deployment process is split into two phases - Cloud Setup and Hardware Activation. Each phase can be carried out by the same person or split into different teams depending on how your technical operation is setup. It is however imperative that the Cloud Setup is completed prior to Activation. 

Captini recommend that partners complete both of the phases prior to shipping and installing the equipment to a venue.

CLOUD SETUP

Step One:  
Sign into your partner control panel and create the customer account. help guide

Step Two:
Switch into the dashboard of the new account. Click the add a venue button on the popup screen and complete the details. help guide

Step Three:
Create a WiFi landing page from with in the account dashboard. help guide

Step Four:
Link the WiFi landing page created in step 3 above to the venue. help guide

HARDWARE ACTIVATION

Step One:  
Power on your Captini SmartSwitch or SmartAP we recommend waiting at least 90 seconds for the device to startup before moving to setup two below. SmartSwitch hardware guideSmartAP hardware guide

Step Two:
Connect to the Captini SSID on the SmartAP or relevant SSID if you are using a SmartSwitch and following the activation process. help guide

Step Three:
On completion of step two above test the service by logging into the WiFi hotspot and checking the customer dashboard to see if your profile details appear on your customers dashboard. help guide

Step Four:
Cloud Setup and Hardware Activation is complete, we recommend that you label the box with the customer and/or venue name to ensure that the correct unit is sent to and installed at the corresponding venue.
