OpenMesh - CloudTrax EU configuration guide

    The following guide takes you through the steps to configure your OpenMesh Cloudtrax Controller and associated nodes/access points to work with the Captini Cloud platform.

    Important Check Version

    Please make sure that you have upgraded your OpenMesh nodes/access points to at least version 6.1.2. Otherwise this configuration will not work.

    You can check the version your node/access point is running by looking at the settings of the Access point as shown in the screenshot on below right.

    We recommend turning off automatic updates to ensure your deployments work correctly with the Captini Cloud platform.

    Step1: Login to your CloudTrax dashboard

    First step is to login to your Cloudtrax dashboard by pointing your browser at:  https://cloudtrax.com/

    On logging in you will presented with the main Cloudtrax dashboard as shown above.

    Step2: Configure an SSID

    You will now need to configure an SSID to work with the Captini Cloud platform. To do this click on the configure menu option in the main menu and then click on the appropriate SSID you would like to configure. See the screenshot below: 

    On the right of the menu you will be presented with the configuration options for the selected SSID. 

    As shown above complete the following: 

    - Give your SSID a name 

    - Ensure the Enable toggle is ON

    - Ensure the Visible toggle is ON   

    - Under Captini Portal ensure the Splash Page toggle is ON

    As shown above please complete the following:

    - Set the Splash page type to: HOSTED REMOTELY 

    - Splash Page URL enter: http://portal-eu.captini.com/openmesh/  

       Important: make sure their is a tailing / at the end of the url

    - Splash Page Secret set to: capt1n1

    - Splash page authentication type set to: RADIUS

    - Server Address 1 set to: 52.19.71.71

    - Server Address 2 set to: 52.210.72.220

    - Server Secret set to: capt1n1

    - NAS IS set to: the name of your network with dashes for spaces

    - Ensure 'Use MAC addr for password' toggle is OFF

    In the walled garden section enter the following list of domains: 

    captini.com

    portal-eu.captini.com

    portal-us.captini.com

    amazonaws.com

    cloudfront.net

    m.facebook.com

    doublecick.net

    developer.facebook.com

    doubleclick.com

    fbcdn.net

    To complete the setup turn on: 

    • Band Steering
    • Block LAN access
    • Client isolation

    If you would like to enable Captini content filtering enter the following IP Addresses into the Alternate DNS box: 

    • 208.67.222.222
    • 208.67.220.220


    Then click the Save Changes button. 

    Please note: on saving the changes your access points may reboot.

    Once the SSID is broadcasting connect to the SSID and you should be presented with the Captini Activation screen. Follow the online instructions to activate your OpenMesh hardware to your Captini Dashboard.
